Ingredients

2 cups of Lentils

1 cup of Rice

1 Onion

1 teaspoon of White pepper

4 tablespoons of Olive oil

1 tablespoon of Salt

Preparation

Step 1 : In a large pot, boil the lentils in 3 cups of water with salt until they are al dente.

Step 2 : Then add more water, rice, and salt, bring to a boil, and cook at low heat until the water has been absorbed.

Step 3 : Meanwhile, prepare the onion.

Step 4 : In a large skillet, sauté the sliced onions in olive oil, adding salt and white pepper, cooking until they begin to brown.

Step 5 : To serve, place the rice and lentils on a plate, topping with the caramelized onion.
